Nearly 3 inches of rain fell in southwest Montana over the weekend and our warm summer temps quickly plummeted to those we are more accustomed to in late September. From the looks of it, some serious snow fell at higher elevations. Crazy for this time of year.
And while this made for some damp fishing conditions the rain and overall cool down should simply do wonders to kick start the onset of fall fishing.
Though hoppers have been scarce for the most part, our fishing has remained good. Now I think it’s going to head to the next level once conditions stabilize in the next day or two.
I’ve thrown in a few photos from the past week. Hope to come up with a few more in the next few days!
