Have been hitting the Yellowstone almost daily in the past few weeks and the post runoff fishing has been nothing short of exceptional. The river is dropping by the day and, as it does, it’s character improves. While the streamer and nymph fishing have been the most consistent method of producing fish, the fish are looking up in places and we’ve experienced some excellent attractor fishing at times.
A few days back I took the day off and took the boys out for a bit of spin fishing on one of our local lakes. Motor boat, some gold spoons, spinning rods and a cooler full of snacks. So much fun. I may created some monsters.
