Just finished up my last scheduled guide trip, potentially the end of another season. And perhaps not a minute too soon. Our first valley snow arrived last night with more predicted throughout the week. We’ll take it…as much as we can get. Snow and cold make winter better here on many levels. And a big snowpack? Essential for good river conditions next year.
So it’s into the shop today, cleaning reels, replacing lines, organizing flies and so on. Of course, since our season never really closes and potential for god fishing exists most all the time, none of the gear gets stowed too deep. Might need it tomorrow. Actually Thursday, going elk hunting tomorrow.
